Biography
Vikki thrives when charged with the variety of work she wins. Her clients range from fashion designers, film directors, and award ceremony producers to artists, Olympic Committees and governments.
For two decades, Vikki Burns has been a driving force behind unforgettable events and performances across the globe. Her diverse body of work spans from choreographing Bvlgari’s 130th birthday celebrations on Lake Como to producing a private performance with Kylie Minogue for Chanel. Her sharp creative eye and polished execution have earned her repeat collaborations with iconic brands including Diesel, Selfridges, and Cartier. For a decade, Vikki worked as the in-house choreographer for cult brand Agent Provocateur, shaping both live shows and campaigns. Her work with the label took her around the world, staging high-octane performances in the most style-forward cites.
Vikki’s journey began in the dance studio at just five years old, setting the stage for a lifelong commitment to movement and performance. She honed her craft at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where her training encompassed choreography, production, costume, and lighting design - laying the groundwork for her multidimensional career.
Upon graduating, she was invited to join the coaching team at Camm Street Gymnastics Centre as Resident Dance Coach, where she helped shape the early performance development of a young Beth Tweddle, who would later become one of Britain’s most decorated gymnasts, with Olympic, World, and European titles to her name.
In 2012, Vikki and her team had the honour of collaborating with Sergeant Major Mott to choreograph over 300 Coldstream and Welsh Guards into the formation of a giant “100” - a striking visual, marking one hundred days until the opening of the London Olympics. The large-scale campaign, unveiled on 18th April, captured the public imagination and received media coverage worldwide.
Vikki is a regular presence at New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week, each season Vikki is booked by various designers across the four fashion capitals to direct multiple shows. Clients include Tommy Hilfiger, Roksanda, Sacai, Stella McCartney, Kenzo, Adidas and Vivienne Westwood to name but a few.
Since its launch in 2019, Gay Times Honours has become a bold, culture-defining celebration, part awards show - part pop concert - Vikki has been an integral part of the creative production team from the very beginning. 'We worked with Vikki on The Elite Model Look Competition in Shanghai. It was a difficult show with very little time for on stage rehearsal's. Vikki worked unbelievably hard to make the show better than anything we had any right to expect. On top of this she was never anything but smiley and a joy to work with.'
